My friends dog has run off, they are devastated. He was out walking at the gun club in Malden, Surrey, postcode of the area is KT22.

They are really worried, and it is so hot.

I will check on the posters Dee.

Thanks Lizzi.... All these thunderstorms, not good for poor Frank. I think I would be in absolute bits.

Frank is still not found. They are absolutely in bits about this. They have put up posters, contacted dog wardens, dogs lost website, police, vets, local radio, local dog walkers - you name it, they have done it.

He is a rescue from Joy, and they have had him for 7 months. With three small children who adore him, and my friend who is a first time dog owner and she says that he considers himself her baby and not a dog. We all know how Danes become a central family member...

Fingers and toes are crossed...

What a heartbreaking situation, I can only imagine what the family must be going through.

Now I know this is a long shot but how about trying to find someone with a tracking dog ?

You say that the area he went missing in is wooded so perhaps (god forbid) he is laying injured somewhere and cannot move?

I don't know how you would find a tracker but perhaps contact local dog training schools or even the nearest Police dog training centre because even if they can't officially help then they might have an officer who would volunteer to use his tracking dog when off duty??

Just a suggestion but I know if it was me I would be begging and pleading with everyone.

Everything crossed for a happy outcome.

There have been two sightings in and around Chessington.... Everyone rushing off to search and call.....

Keeping everything crossed

How sad his still not home
