Introducing Winchester

With Penelope, we fell in love with Danes. As much as it hurt to loose her, having an empty house hurt even more, So, here is Winchester of Panamá from Ocean Blue Danes in Florida.

This is my first dog. We've always had girls. He is almost 5 months so we've made it through the worst of the nipping. He is such a sweetheart. So different from Penelope yet so much the same, He is a big boy. We got him At 8 weeks and retuned to the island, He loves the car and the boat, no swimming yet . I remember being at such a loss when Penelope would nip me or get too excited, and now with Winchester i know exactly what to do because of this forum, Turn my back or leave the room, photos of Blues don't do them justice, but here are some, I can't believe he has grown so fast,

Great pics - he's a beautiful boy, Judy. Love them at that stage when they haven't quite grown into their ears and paws. Delighted to hear he loves travelling too, it makes life sooo much easier.

When you get your first Dane, nobody tells you that your house will never feel right without one....that's how we get hooked

Oh, he is just gorgeous!  I remember the giant ear stage - I very selfishly did not want that to end, when his ears would catch the wind. 

 

What a very handsome boy he is, and he's totally landed on his paws with you. Wishing you much joy with him.

I havent checked in for a while but there doesnt look like much activity, Winchester is 18 months. Now. A big boy of 170 lbs. so different from Penelope. Love him to bits and still miss my girl. While Penelope loves the ocean, Winchester wont get a toe in it, he ,loves the beach though and wants to play on it everyday, Winchester also doesnt like the boat, we couldnt leave Penelope or,she would hoewl in misery. , Winchester sees us head to the boat and goes back to the house. However he LOVES the car as much as Penelope disliked it.

Isnt it funny now they are so different,

Winchester is gorgeous- certainly different to Penelope- I still remember how brave she was the first time she went on the boat- glad you are sharing your life with your lovely "new" boy .

Our Viv is 61/2 now still as dipsy as ever but we wouldn't change her for the world- Danes are so special . It is so quiet on here now I don't know where everyone is!!!!!!!!
